Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative and data management support to the Corporate HR Department. This entry-level role is responsible for accurate processing of employee data within workforce systems, onboarding documentation, benefits portals, and compliance tracking systems. The position supports the HR Coordinator and HR Generalist to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of HR transactions in a multi-state, federal contractor environment.

  • Accurately enter and maintain employee data in HRIS, payroll, and workforce management systems.
  • Process new hire, status change, and termination transactions.
  • Maintain job codes, EEO classifications, reporting structures, and pay data.
  • Conduct routine audits of employee records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain electronic personnel files in accordance with company retention standards.
  • Process new hire documentation and onboarding workflows.
  • Track background checks, drug screens, I-9 completion, and E-Verify submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal contractor data requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding documentation with field and corporate teams.
  • Process qualifying life event changes and enrollment updates.
  • Track eligibility and enrollment timelines.
  • Assist with invoice reconciliation and benefits reporting as assigned.
  • Prepare routine HR reports (headcount, turnover, compliance metrics).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records and sensitive data.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Human Resources or business administration required.
  • Construction experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in data review and entry between any online employee service portals and Microsoft products (excel, word, etc).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of compliance and confidentiality standards for employee and company data.
  • Strong Attention to detail.
  • Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
