This project marks the largest contract in the Jacksonville District’s history, valued at $2.87 billion. Thalle will oversee the construction of a 17.75-mile embankment dam and associated structures. This project offers potential Project Team members a valuable opportunity to broaden their professional experience and advance their careers throughout its duration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Yard Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations in the construction yard ensuring that all materials, equipment, and facility services are effectively managed. This position requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of heavy civil construction processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shipping and receiving, maintaining inventories, material handling and, managing of onsite services etc.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse or yard (construction or other industry experience. Heavy Civil preferred).
• Proven track record in inventory control, purchasing, and logistics.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in a warehouse or yard setting.

Requirements:

• Typically works 10 hours per day, 6-7 days per week in the South Florida outdoor environment.
• Wears all required personal protective equipment on daily basis.
• May be exposed to poisonous snakes, insects and similar.
• May be required to work on variable terrain in performance of duties.
• Will be required to operate motor vehicle and forklift.
• Routinely lifts/carries up to 50 pounds unassisted on daily basis.
