Thalle Construction Co. Inc. (“Thalle”) is seeking a Form Carpenter. The Form Carpenter will report to the Superintendent and work closely with and support the operations team, interact with a variety of staff at all levels and uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position is located in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. This jobsite has an established prevailing wage for a Form Carpenter of $23.91 rate plus $16.10 fringe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow established safety rules and regulation to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Verify trueness of structure using required tools.
  • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power tools.
  • Remove damaged / defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace using hand tools.
  • Install structures and fixtures using carpenter’s hand and power tools.
  • Finish surfaces of woodwork.
  • Inspect structures for damage.
  • Conduct work with 100% integrity and professionalism.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to perform sustained and vigorous activities in a variety of environmental conditions.
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, grease, and construction materials.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
