The Senior Scheduler will report to the Project Manager and work closely with and support the operations team, interact with a variety of staff at all levels and uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position is located out of our office in Mansfield, Texas.

Thalle, established in 1947, is a heavy civil construction company with a corporate office in Hillsborough, NC, and a regional office in Alvarado, Texas. Thalle has construction projects throughout the Southeast, Texas, and New Jersey with growth nationwide. Job Title:  Senior Scheduler

Overview:

Responsibility will include continued development and maintenance of Primavera P6 schedule for an established project, informing the team of scheduling conflicts, and making data-based recommendations for corrective actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate project schedule progress, including cost controls.
  • Report variances to the project team and offer guidance/strategies to correct them.
  • Provide recommendations for schedule improvement based on the actual or potential impact of changes and work performance.
  • Maintain timely knowledge of what is occurring on the project.
  • Gather and input data and changes to the schedule as needed.
  • Be a liaison in maintaining exceptional relationships with the project teams and subcontractors.
  • Perform on-site progress reviews.
  • Report schedule status and updates and engage in discussions regarding analysis and performance

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (4 years).
  • Professional license, certifications, and contractor’s licenses preferred.
  • Proficient in Primavera and CPM schedule methodology.
  • 3-5 years of construction scheduling experience.
  • Proficient in construction means and methods.
  • Preparation of internal and Client reporting.
  • Knowledge of cost controls and cost relationships within the schedule.
  • Proactive recognition of contractual change conditions.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively with a diverse workforce.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
