Job Title: Project Superintendent

Job Summary:
The Construction Project Superintendent oversees the day-to-day field operations of water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects. This role ensures that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Scheduling & Planning:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect work for compliance with design documents.
  • Ensure proper installation of mechanical, electrical, and civil components.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports and logs.

Safety Management:

  • Enforce site safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct safety meetings and inspections.
  • Address and resolve safety concerns promptly.

Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between field operations and project 
    management.
  • Report progress, issues, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineers, owners, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 5 years in water/wastewater treatment plant projects.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to move freely about a construction site with uneven terrain, including climbing ladders and stair towers, working on wet surfaces, and navigating slopes.
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
