Thalle Construction Co. Inc. (“Thalle”) is seeking an experienced Millwright Foreman to join our team in Leonard, Texas. The Foreman will lead a crew of journeyman-level millwrights and helpers, working closely with the operations team to execute critical mechanical installations and repairs. This role requires a strong leader with hands-on experience, the ability to manage daily field operations, and a commitment to upholding Thalle’s standards of professionalism, safety, and confidentiality.

Job Title: Millwright Foreman

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a crew of millwrights and helpers in the installation, dismantling, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment—including pumps, tanks, mixers, and conveyors—following blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
- Oversee the safe movement and placement of equipment using power tools, dollies, rollers, and hoists.
- Supervise and participate in mechanical work involving belt, chain, and screw conveyors, as well as industrial pumps, tanks, and mixing systems.
- Utilize precision tools such as laser alignment systems, micrometers, plum bobs, and levels to ensure accurate installation and alignment.
- Direct and assist in diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting of systems to verify performance and identify repair needs.
- Coordinate and oversee regular maintenance of mechanical systems and related equipment.
- Perform and supervise routine plumbing, carpentry, and general facility repairs as needed to support field operations.
- Interpret and communicate technical information from blueprints and sketches to guide crew activities.
- Ensure all crew members perform their work with the highest level of safety, integrity, and professionalism.
- Collaborate closely with office and field personnel to meet production goals and maintain project timelines.
- Maintain accurate daily field reports, timesheets, and project documentation to support progress tracking and accountability.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- 4+ years of experience as a Millwright, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
- Experience working on wastewater treatment plants is a strong plus.
- Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor crew members while ensuring quality workmanship.
- Must be committed to a culture of safety, demonstrating responsibility for both self and team.
Physical Requirements:
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Work long shifts.
- Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times.
- Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
- Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
- Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug screen.
